Hi Josh & Christina,
I have been wanting to send you a note and have just not gotten to it! This is Thunder, he is Achilles & Nina's (Jackie Noriega) baby born 3/11//09! I wanted to tell you that he is a FABULOUS dog! We have had 27 Rotts (including 2 litters) over the years and he his the most beautiful one we have ever owned. I have MS and I use him has my service dog, he goes everywhere with me, grocery stores, out to dinner, the movies, EVERYWHERE and he is wonderful...excellent temperament, he's patient, and loving and a like most Rotts, he's a clown! We have a 9 year old and 14 year old son who he thinks the world of and is just beside himself when they come home from school!
We had him neutered because being a service dog, I didn't want him deciding to find a girlfriend when he's working, but if he had not been neutered, I truly believe he could have been an excellent show dog. His structure and breed standard confirmation are text book. At 6 mo, our vet estimated that full grown he will probably be in the 115 - 120 range and we have already had his hips x-ray'd and they show absolutely no signs of displaysia! He will be 7 months in just a few days and is currently about 72 lbs.
I just wanted to share these pics with you and let you know that his was an excellent breeding match-up. We will be looking for a female in the next year or so and will be watching your upcoming litters. We currently have a great dane mix who is almost 11 and are dreading what may be inevitable this next year, but know that Thunder will not want to be alone. We will be adding a "Storm" to our family and sure that "Thunder...Storm" will bring our family much happienss in the years to come.
